Hey all, it's me Luke again. Well, my mom went a little crazy in the video department this week. She said she likes to video me so that you all can see how big and smart I am.

But the other day, she was trying to video me while I was talking right before I went to sleep...and well, it was a little annoying. Look....

This next one is of me talking to me new friend. and man is he cute!! I love to watch his lips move when he talks. he makes funny faces! My mom is right there watching him too!! (I dont start really talking till about 34 seconds in) I also bonked my head, but don't worry, I am tough! It didnt even phase me.

Here is another video of my new trick that I have MASTERED!! I am really good at it now and definetly know what I am doing. I love to do it too!! it is sooo much fun! Mommy and Daddy say that is why I love to sleep on my back now...so i dont wake myself up in the middle of the night anymore by sleeping on my belly!!

it's Monday!

Hey all,

We had one busy weekend this past weekend. It was fun though. We got to visit with some friends and go to Brandon's old church. It was really nice. Luke was really good all weekend. He adapts so well to different environments, he is such a good little boy!!

Here are some pictures from Saturday. We had a very relaxing day and then went to our friends house to play a game and have dinner.

Here are some of Luke playing with Daddy.And then Daddy had to leave to help out a friend with his house so Mommy and Luke took some silly pictures too!

It was fun. We were listening to music and I was trying to get him to dance! well the best a 5 month old could! he was smiling the whole time.

Here are some pictures of Luke in his new outfit that he wore to Church on Sunday. We didn't put the green pants on him that matched it because they were a little to big still. so we went with tan chords....

We also tried a new food this weekend too. Prunes!! and yes...he likes them!! We couldn't believe that he liked prunes! The kid does not like peas, green beans, and bananas, but likes prunes?? interesting! I told Brandon, he may be our kid that likes all the things that we dont! hahahaha....we'll see.

Well since he is finally back to sleep now, I am going to get ready for the day! have a great Monday!!

5 months old!!

Hey everybody! Here I am, 5 months old. Mommy says that she can't believe how big I have gotten!! Mommy took this one of me today. I am slobbering a whole lot cause of my teeth that are coming in. They really hurt me today! Mommy says that I should have napped better today. Oh well, at least I will sleep good tonight!

I played a little bit with Shaylee today. We had fun, but one time I was watching her and mom said the word "talk" and she started to make a loud sound!! I was okay at first and just watched her bark at us, but then after a while i got scared and started to give my really really cute pouty lip and then cried. But Mommy hugged me really tight and told me that it was okay. that Shaylee was just telling us a story. I love my Mom. I was okay after that. and then i kept watching Shaylee. Sometimes she lets me pull her ears!! I love those things...they look funny!!

Oh. and here is one of me and my new friend Isaac in my Mommy and Me class. He is about 8 months old I think. That is my teacher Ms. Katie holding me. Mommy got sad cause I was playing with Isaac and we were both so happy, holding hands, but as soon as she got her camera, i got grumpy. Hey, I was getting tired!! It was past my nap time. and a boy needs his nap to grow!!

We have no big plans this weekend, other than our friends Paul and Emily came over tonight. I love to play with Emily. She is so sweet and pretty. :) Paul showed Daddy how to make videos from our video camera.

Tomorrow night we will probably hang out with some of Mommy and Daddy's new friends, James and Ginger and their little girls.

And then on Sunday morning, I will probably make my first visit to Grandma and Grandpa Mayo's church. (Daddy says that they want to show me off cause i'm so darn cute!) And then go to lunch with them for Daddy's birthday that was a while ago. That should be fun.

updates...

Hey everyone...well it looks like Luke got a hold of the computer a few days ago!! man the boy is soo smart! teehee. well i said was going to update you all with more pictures of him and what he has been up to lately.

Well....he learned something new this weekend. For the past week or two he has been kicking his feet in the air (not quite found them with his hands, but he knows they are there) and this weekend i put him down for a nap on his tummy. I came out into the living room to take a nap myself and Brandon was in the office. Well, all of a sudden on the moniter, i heard his Ocean Aquarium going off. I asked Brandon if he turned it on...he said no. I knew I hadnt. So we went back there to check. Luke had rolled over on to his back, kicked his legs in the air and was turning "ocean world" on and off with his feet! he is one funny kid....now he knows what to do! here is pic of him the day after doing it again!!

He is also playing with the tag from his bumper that he found that day too.

On Friday, I had him model a little bit for me cause he looked so darn cute. but he didnt really cooperate...I even tried to give him a prop!! hahahaha...

This kid is so funny! His personality is really coming through now too. He is one silly boy and tries to make us laugh whenever he can. He is also very happy...most of the time except for when he is tired and hungry, but, i'm not happy when i am tired and hungry either. However, i feel he has become a little drama king. As you can see in these pictures, nothing was wrong with him, he just didnt want to "model" and was definetly letting me know!! He also talks....constantly. any time he can..in his sleep, when he's awake, when no one is looking. He has also learned he can fluctuate (sp??) his voice...so he tends to make high pitch screams when he is excited. it is so cute to watch him....it makes me realize how much he has really grown these past 5 months!

Here is a picture of him this morning doing something new too...playing with some toys in his high chair before bfast! Of course he takes the toys straight to his mouth. those teeth still have not came in yet.

it's me....Luke

Hey everybody! It's me Luke! I just wanted to say hi to all my friends and family who check my site. I am glad. It makes me happy to know I have so many people who love me so much!! We had a good weekend. On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy and Me and Shaylee went over to Grandma and Grandpa Mayos house. It was fun. Mommy and Daddy went out and played in the snow, I wanted to go (I even brought my OWN snowsuit!) but I fell asleep when it was time to go outside. I was one tired boy! I hope Mom or Dad can get me out in that white stuff some time this week! it looks like fun. I like to look at it through the window.

Well, Mom keeps feeding me those veggies. I LOVE the orange and yellow ones. but i hate the green ones...especially those things mom calls peas. YUCK!! She has also been giving me some more fruits. Applesauce is my favorite but i like pears too! yumyum....as a matter of fact, I had sweet potatoes, carrots, and pears for dinner. it was really good. This picture was taken a while ago, but it was the first time i had squash! and boy is that good!!

Today Mommy got some pictures of me and sister Shaylee! I love her. When she barks, it doesnt even scare me. (mom says its because i always heard Shaylee when i was inside her belly) She is a good dog and she will come and give me kisses every now and then. I like that. She makes me smile. Here are some of our pictures today. Shay will only cuddle with me for a few minutes though. Thats okay...one day I'm going to chase her down!! hahahaha.

Well, I better go now. Mom said she will try to update my site in the next couple of days with some more pictures we took today. (I learned something new I can do this weekend too. but i will tell you about it later.) Have a good start of the week. Mommy says Mondays can be rough because Daddy has to go back to work and I miss him! I will try to be good though. I just love my Daddy soooo much. I think I heard him say he is going to work at home tomorrow! yay! I love that. see you all later. I love you!!

snowed in!!

Well today is a nasty day. It just keeps snowing and sleeting. Brandon got to stay home with us today so it has been nice to be a family all day stuck in the house!! Brandon is getting a little stir crazy though...he's not used to be home all day! I LOVE IT!! hahaha. Luke has really enjoyed him being home too. You can really tell that he knows when Brandon is home. He loves his daddy so much!! (its also been a nice break for me too since Brandon is home and doesnt have to work, he has really helped with Luke today....I didnt have to make dinner! Brandon did it all! how nice)

Here is a link to another video we took the other night of Luke doing what he always does...talking and screaming and putting his hands in his mouth. (its about 30 sec long) He was talking to Daddy this time. He is getting to point where he is really trying to mimic the sounds you make with your voice. and he's getting pretty good at it too! He is also getting his feet high up in the air when laying on his back. He hasnt quite found his feet yet, he knows they are there because when i play "stinky feet" with him (that is when i act like i smell his toes and then say ewww...stinky feet) he just laughs and smiles. (by the way, this kid really does have some stinky feet for a 4 and half month old!!)
I think he will start grabbing at them soon. There is just one thing holding him back from finding them...he would rather keep his hands in his mouth and gnaw on those!! i wish those silly teeth would come in soon!!! One is getting closer to the surface so maybe soon!??!?!

Brandon's 27th birthday was on Saturday, Feb 10. Luke woke him up by giving him a balloon that said, "Happy Birthday DAD" on it. It was really cute. I put it in his hands and carried him into our bedroom and he gave it to Brandon. We also got an ice cream cake for him too...his FAVORITE!! Luke couldnt keep his eyes off of it. I told him he had to wait a few more months before he could stick his hands into his OWN birthday cake! hahaha. Luke's Grammy, Grandpa Jeff, and Auntie Emily watched Luke for us that night so we could go see a movie and go to dinner. Okay....I told Brandon we could see ANY movie he wanted for his bday...what did he choose??? HANNIBLE RISING! yuck!! i hate scary movies. but i went anyway. I closed my eyes exactly 5 times (that is how many times he kills someone in the movie) mainly because it was soooo gorey!! ewwww. It was a good plot though. We then went to dinner at Logans in Plainfield. We LOVE that place. When we went to Myrtle Beach last June we ate there twice because it was so good. We were excited when one was going up in Plainfield. Then we went to Dicks Sporting Goods and got some Colt's gear! yay...

My first snow...and my toys!!

I thought that I would post some pics of Luke playing with some of his favorite things right now. He is starting to enjoy playing with more things now. Especially the toys that move, make noise, and light up. He is also reaching out and grabbing at anything he can get his hands on, all the way from his beloved butterfly and bee, to his bottle, to even mommy's hair! He is also constantly chewing on his hands. He does it so much and sticks his hands so far in his mouth, that sometimes he makes himself gag. Let's hope he doesnt have an easy gag reflex like mommy!! He also LOVES to watch himself in the mirror. He smiles at himself a lot and reaches out to touch his reflection. Its like he found a new buddy to play with. It's nice that we have the big mirrors on our closet doors because i can just put him next to those and he will entertain himself for a little bit. its very cute.

He is smiling so much more and now gives a little giggle now and then. Once he starts to really laugh, i will post a video of that too.

He loves to sit in his exersaucer. He really gets excited playing in it now and can actually stand up and spin around half way! This is a picture of him in it while watching his all time favorite movie, "Baby Einstein, Mozart" He LOVES the puppets on that show. Especially the green one that sticks his tongue out and says, "BLAH!!" he always gives a giggle on that one.


And finally here is picture of Luke and Mommy reading his all time favorite book right now, "Goodnight Moon" he will take his hands and reach out and touch each page and help Mommy turn the pages. As you can see in the picture he is helping Mommy hold the book so we can both see the pictures. We have to read that everynight!! teehee.

It's so amazing that at only 4 and half months old, he has his preferences on things. He gets more antsy when you try to read him another book other than "Goodnight Moon." He is so smart and has really figured out the things he likes and dislikes. He has however turned into a BIG mommy's boy. He will cry and whine, but if I hold him he's fine. I think he's getting kind of attached, which is fine by me ( :) ) but, I want him to be able to be without me and know he is okay too...do you know what i mean?? I want him to be able to have a little independence. I guess thats a better way to put it. Anyway, he really is a good boy and even on the days that are pretty whiney, he can always make me laugh. I love being a mom. Its the best job in the whole wide world. Luke makes it easy though....:)

Okay anyway, If you click on the link below you can view a video we took the other day of him playing with his Pooh Bear and turtle. It is such a cute toy! Great-Grandma Fish got him that for Christmas. He has just now gotten interested in it. We are trying to teach him that if he shakes the rattle, Pooh will sing for him! The video is about a minute long and I apologize in advance for my very LOUD "yay!!" and then giggle, and excessive movement on the video. He made me laugh with his expression and the movement is from me having to chase Pooh down! hahah...enjoy!

Luke went out in the snow for the very first time on Tuesday night. He didnt want to be in his snow suit because he was so sleepy, but i wanted to get him out in the snow!! The first pic of him he was sooo mad because he wanted out of it! hahaha....He looks like the little boy in the "Christmas Story" when he falls down in the snow and cant get up because he's so bundled up! quite hilarious.

We're Back from Brown County

Here are some pics of us and our friends at the cabin we stayed at this weekend. We had a lot of fun. Luke was a good boy too and really enjoyed having fun with all of our small group. We stayed up late and played games and just talked. It really was a good time. Sorry the picture of the whole group is kinda small. I wish you could see all of us better!

Hope everyone is staying warm today since its snowing like crazy! Luke keeps looking out the window and staring at it. I want to get him out in it, but is so stinkin cold!! Well have a great rest of the day...
