We've made it...and an update

Hey all! We left for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina yesterday and rolled in early this evening. Luke has already been in the pools and we took a short walk on the beach. And Caleb didn't seem to really mind it! We are looking forward to tomorrow when we can have the WHOLE day on the beach and in the sun!! Vacation with an almost 4 month old is going to prove a little interesting though....but I think he's a trooper and hopefully he will just fall right into what we like to do. They are both sound asleep right now and we are listening to the waves crash on the beach.....God's creation is truly wonderful....
We will update with pictures soon!

As far as an update on our house situation. We still haven't heard back on anything. We should hear by next Friday whether or not we got the first house we offered on, but in the mean time, we looked at 3 other houses last week. We are just waiting to see what God has in store for us....He has the right house for us, so we are trusting in Him right now.

We'll keep you posted on that front too, until then you can say a prayer that something becomes available.

3 months

This sweet little peanut turned 3 months old yesterday. Yep. 3 months old! aaahhh....the "magic age" This is the age everyone always tells you to wait for...the one where they do more, talk more, smile, and the most wonderful....sleep most of the night!!
and he did. He went from about 9pm-7:15am this morning. YES! He might have slept longer if he didn't have some bowel problems right now. (tmi??) poor guy. I took him to the doctor yesterday for it and his doctor told me to put him on the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast...I don't know how the toast is supposed to work, but he sure does like the other stuff.
But do you know how much our "peanut" weighed???? 14lbs 7oz!!! HOLY MOLY! our peanut is definetly not a peanut anymore. This kid is huge! I was just looking back on some old posts of when Luke was Caleb's age...and he was 12lbs 5oz at the same age. oh. my. word. He is definetly healthy.
It's so hard to believe sometimes that he is a 3 month old. It seems like just yesterday I was begging my OB to take the kid out....and now....his a whopping 14.5lbs and still growing! We are loving every minute with him.

Tasting his applesauce for the 1st time (you can't tell, but after every bite he smiled the biggest smiles we had ever seen, he couldn't wait for the next bite!)

Caleb Benjamen at 3 months you....
*SMILE all the time. It doesn't matter if you have a dirty diaper, just woke up, your brother squeezed you to death, or if you are playing all by yourself. You smile. And your whole little face lights up.
*Talk so much. You are cooing and razzing all the time now. You have so much to say!! and love to make eye contact with anyone who will. Especially your brother (if he sits still long enough)
*sleeping through the night!! 9pm-7am usually, and up at 11pm for one last bottle before mommy goes to bed.
*are so predictable. I love this about you. We know that after an hour you have eaten, you will start fussing, but it's because you are tired and want a nap. No guessing work there!
*Take a bottle about 6 times a day and 5oz each time. 30oz! wowzers!
*LOVE LOVE LOVE your Kick and Play bouncer seat. You will smile at that thing the whole time and just get your little legs and arms moving like crazy.
*We found out yesterday you love Baby Einstein too. You do the same thing with your arms and legs.
*Like to watch Mr. Butterfly under your playmat
*HATE tummy time. It's useless!! But you can hold your head up really well and at least a 45 degree angle.
*love to be held. all the time. I know we used to say that people would have to fight us to hold you because we woudn't put you down....well, you might be a little rotten now because of that.....but that is fine by us. You are only this little once bubs
*are a daddy's boy. you will find him when he walks into the room and just stare and smile at him until he pays attention to you.
*have the longest eyelashes! Watch out ladies!
*the bluest eyes, they just light up your sweet little face
*only love your NUK pacifiers. no other brand will do...
Caleb you are growing before our very eyes Dubs! I love you so stinkin much!!!!!
