I had so many, I decided to make a video instead. Included are pictures from Scrabble Night with my parents, Luke's first black eye, some friends, and playing in the snow. Enjoy!

Quick Update....
Well, I am still waiting for our computer to get back from the shop, which unfortuantely means I have no new photos to share. :( I have so many that I want to show you all, but it will probably have to wait until next week.
I did want to let you know we are doing well though. No huge news to share. Luke's black eye is going away, well, it's pretty much gone. He turned 17 months today. 17 months!! It just doesn't seem possible that he is almost a year and a half. He is learning so many new things every day. Today he said TWO new words! Dog and Hot. Of course, I don't know if a perfect stranger could have made out what he said...but both Brandon and I certainly did. It always makes me tear up (just a little though :) ) each time he does something big like that. Like a part of his babyness (is that a word!?!?) is gone. But it's a good thing, it means he is growing up and is becoming a big boy. He is such an independant little man. I love being his mommy.
At 17 months Luke can,
--say several words, including, mama, dada, dad, here, num num (as in a numynum or candy) um, yeah, oh yeah, dog, hot, nana (banana), gra (grammy or grandma or grandpa), ella (Bella, Grammy's dog). There might be more, but seriously it's hard to understand him. He mostly just babbles all day like he is really "talking" but it just comes out like jibberish.
--is running VERY VERY VERY fast...and I mean FAST. I don't know if I have ever seen a 1 year old move as fast as he does.
--lives for dancing. We always say that music is moving through his veins, it doesn't matter what kind of music or where we are (yes, he has danced in Walmart to the music over the intercom) Brandon and I have even caught him "practicing" his dance moves byhimself in the living room when the music is playing. (I have a video of this to share with you too when I can!)
--has mastered riding on his riding toys now
--has become quite the picky eater. But, right now, he still loves mac n cheese, chicken nuggets, taco meat with cheese, and grapes....we call him grape head. :)
--has mastered shaking his head "NO" we get this a lot during the day (but I must say, even though it can be frustrating at times, it really is the cutest thing EVER)
--is going through a phase where he is having to ease into situations he is not familiar with and freaks out when mommy (or daddy) leaves him there. (example, church last weekend, they had to post our number for the first time since he was really really little!)
--loves to read and is very interested in his books, especially "Dinosaur Roar"
--pointing at everything
--has really started to notice the sounds of cars and airplanes. He will gasp and point and I swear he says "What's that?" but maybe not :)
--loves songs like, itsy bitsy spider, twinkle twinkle little star, and open shut them. He likes to do the finger movements with them and hum along sometimes too.
--LOVES to flush the toilet and wave bye bye. He will flush it several times in a row and make sure you saw him do it by running up to you wherever you are and waving.
There are tons of more things I can probably say, but I wanted to document some of them now. I'm sure there will be lots more by the time another month goes by and our little man is officially 1.5 years old!
I hope to have our computer back next week....so be ready for some CUTENESS!!
(oh...and I know I am changing the look of his page a lot, I just haven't found anything I like yet, bare with me!)

good news!
(sorry...no pictures again! computer is still in the shop!)
but I wanted to let you all know that Luke does not need tubes! 2 weeks ago we went to the doctor because Luke was showing signs of yet another ear infection (this would have been his 4th one...and 2nd one within 3 weeks!) so we go there and the Doctor said his first ear infection had not gone away. and put Luke on some pretty strong antibiotics. He said if that round of antibiotics didn't get rid of it, we would need to explore some more options.
well, we went today and the ear infections were gone! He put him on some antibiotics for the next 6-8 weeks to make sure another ear infection does not come back, but if he does come down with another one while on the antibiotics, then he will probably get tubes.
We are praying that the ear infections stay far away so he doesn't have to deal with tubes and continues to stay healthy.
I'll leave you with an old picture of Luke one year ago this week of Valentine's Day (tomorrow is also the day we found out we were going to have a baby 2 YEARS ago! I can't believe its been that long!)

(I promise I will update you with all the hilarious pictures i have taken this week and last week, including one of his first black eye!)

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Tomorrow is Brandon's 28th BIRTHDAY! Brandon and I are going out tonight to celebrate and Luke is going to go hang out with Grammy. I can't believe he is 28 years old! I met him when he was 20. It doesn't seem like it's been 8 years, but MAN! 8 years sounds like a long time! ha!
Happy Birthday (tomorrow) Brandon!
(sorry there are no pictures, I know that is what you all care about anyway! But our computer had to go back in the shop and I can't upload any pictures to the computer I am on. so maybe next time!)
Have a nice weekend!!

5 months ago today we had to say goodbye to our Shaylee. It doesn't seem like it has been that long, but at the same time...it seems like forever since we have seen her. We still miss her like crazy and often wonder what her and Luke would think of each other now that Luke is older. Shay...we miss you.

first Chrismas married

second year married

Luke LOVED his "girl"

after her first ultrasound to determine why she was acting sick...she was so tired at this point..

This is her special box I recieved from some friends that now holds her dog tags and a letter from the vet office.
