Maternity Photos

A very special thank you goes out to Jeremy Kinman. He is my Aunt's brother-in-law and claims that photography is only a hobby of his. But, we think he could definetly do more with it! Thank you Jeremy, Val, Maggie, and Olivia for coming over and taking pictures of our family of 3 before it becomes a family of 4 very soon!!
(oh, I'm 33 weeks in these pictures. Can you believe I'm already 33 weeks?? It's crazy! I also posted these on my pregnancy blog too, but I know some of you have told me (MOM) that you for some reason can't view that blog, so I wanted to post some on here too. )

Spring Spring...where are you??

We're getting a little stir crazy in the house! Can't wait for it to be warm all the time so we can be OUTSIDE all the time!

*************************************
For fun here is a picture of me and my cousin Jenny (due 11 days after me with her first....and what do you know...it's a BOY!) at her shower on March 14. I'm 31 weeks, and I think she is 29 weeks.

Can't wait to meet our boys!!!

4 nurses and a mommy...

Had to hold down a 2.5 year old today at the doctor's office. He freaked out about getting his stitches taken out. Poor thing, I know that these things are going to happen, and that he is learning what it's like to feel new feelings now, but I am really hating the fact he knows what it's like now to be sooooooo scared. Poor thing. But that's life. And we are just trying to tell him he is so courageous and brave to be so scared and get his boo boo taken care of. Just down right breaks my heart.

But seriously after all 5 of us held him down and he got all 3 of them removed, was bandaged up (because they bled because of a scab that grew over the stitches...geeze...do you know how hard I tried to clean those things so that wouldn't happen?!?!), he jumped up on the table and exclaimed, "ALL DONE BOO BOO!!!!" everyone just laughed and then he got a green popcicle. Which of course made everything that just happened seem like it didn't just happen. Oh, and he got to pick a sticker. He thought that was just so cool. I know they are a peditrician's office and they handle kids all day, but it was so nice to see how they made such a big deal out of what he just did and reward him like that. They really made a scary visit turn into an okay one.

So, our first adventure with stitches is practically over. These 5 days flew by and he handled it like a champ. Way to go Luke!

He's all boy....

Saturday morning, Brandon and I were getting ready for the day. We had a busy day ahead of us. While I was in the shower, Luke and daddy were upstairs. I guess Luke was so enthralled with talking to his stuffed Mickey Mouse, that he missed the step as he was going up the stairs in his room and smacked his chin on the stair. Pretty much, he needed to get stitches.

So we got dressed as fast as we could, slapped a band aid on his little chin to keep the blood from going everywhere, and headed to the emergency room. He was totally fine up until they called us back and they asked him to step on the scale. Poor thing was so scared of everything, that he threw a pretty bad tantrum the whole time we were there. I guess tantrum isn't the right word. He was just so scared and it was so sad to see him feel so scared and not know what to do.

They ended up having to strap him down to one of those boards with the Velcro to hold him down to sew his chin up. And that was probably the hardest thing we have had to do was watch him be strapped down. I don't think I will ever ever ever forget the look in his sweet brown eyes as he was trying to look at me while they were stitching him up. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!

But after it was all over, he was completely fine. He calmed down and was ready to head out of there real quick. So, needless to say we had our first of probably more trips to the ER this weekend. Especially with having another boy on the way too.

I have some pictures of his boo boo. But my computer with all the pictures is acting funny, so I will have to update this post with pictures later on when I have more time....and well, energy.

We have to go back on Thursday to have them removed, so hopefully that trip goes better than the first!

a glimpse of spring....

I hope everyone who lives in our area was able to get out and go play outside yesterday because it was absolutely beautiful!!! Sunny and in the low 70's...what more could you ask more in March?? The park was packed full with kids and their moms, but it was so much fun to be out of the house and running around at the park for about 3 hours!! Luke had a great time and has proven to be very skillful at the huge playset now. Where did my baby go and when did I get a little boy???? Because he is keeping up with all the kids now and I don't freak out like last year about all those tall openings where he could fall out of the playset. whew...that's a relief!

Yes, he just about conquered everything he set out to.....look how little he looks still! heehee

Then after an hour or so being there with just me and Grammy, his 2nd cousin and some friends showed up to play. And they had a blast.

Then my mom attempted to get a picture of Luke and me while we were taking a break and getting a drink back at the car. But, well, this is the best we got. Silly kid couldn't stand still for a second...he wanted to run back to the playground.

Here's to hoping spring comes very very soon!!!

haven't forgotten...

I know. It's been awhile since I have posted. I can only say that I am a bad, bad, blogger these days. This pregnancy is literally wearing me out. Well, having a 2 year old and being almost 32 weeks pregnany is wearing me out. I used to get on and update when Luke layed down to take his nap. But now, by the time he is down, I just want to go downstairs and SIT. And do NOTHING. And really, I mean nothing. So, our blog has suffered. There have been tons of things I have wanted to journal that I don't want to forget about Luke and this time in our lives. But darn belly is making me tired. I have tried to just stick them in my memory so that I don't forget. But all the women out there who have ever been pregnant know how great your memory can be when you have kids and are pregnant.

I finally took time tonight while hubby was giving Luke a bath to upload new pictures. So, hopefully you all will have more updates in the coming days. :)

check back soon k??

Update on the Belly...

29 weeks 1 day!

Just thought I'd show you a picture of the belly at almost 30 weeks. We are getting very anxious to meet this sweet little boy who has become very good at making the belly look like there is an alien trying to escape. If this little one makes his debut as early as Luke.....he could be here in 6 weeks! I try not to think like that though....because that isn't very far away! And we still have lots to do.....
I have been feeling pretty good, except for a few nights where I had some pretty strong contractions. But each night they only lasted an hour or so each time and I haven't had any like for about a week and a half. My doctor has told me though that I need to take it easy more often, and try not to pick Luke up as much as I do. And she is right, I can totally feel a difference between when I am trying to take it easy and when I am doing the typical daily activities, which include getting Luke in out of the car, going up and down the stairs several times (It's only 2:30 p.m. and I think I have gone up and down them about 6 times already today!), and just other various mom things you do while at home. So, I am just going to have to be more self conscious about making myself rest. We definetly don't want peanut coming before 36 weeks! And to make it to 37 weeks would be even better.
I guess I could say he still doesn't have a name....poor guy. We have 2 favorites, but just can't decide if he is really going to be either one of them. Luke can only say one of them, so we asked him what he wanted to name the baby and he said, "Mommy's Baby" Well, at least he gave him a first and middle name right. HA!
That is a short peanut update. If you want to know more you can check out my blog I have just for this pregnancy. There is a link on the right side of my page.

best of buds....

We loved spending the whole entire day with you last week Jayden (and Aunt Kayla). It was so much fun! and good practice for both Luke and mommy! How will we do it with 3?? HA!

Don't you want to just KISS those cheeks??!?! On BOTH of them?!?!!?

I could not get Luke out of his "Gickey" shirt all day long. **sigh** why does it seem like in all his pictures with his cousin he either has crazy hair or is in his jammies???
But still.....LOOK at that face and tell me how I am supposed to tell that cute thing he can't wear "gickey"......I just can't take it!
