Goodbye 2007 and Hello 2008!

Happy 2008 everybody! We hope you all enjoyed a great New Year's Eve celebrating with family and friends. We sure did! Every time the new year comes around it seems like you can't believe its already the new year. And can't help but wonder where the last year went. I have always felt this way, but never more than this year. In 2006 God gave Brandon and I one of the greatest gifts in Luke and when we rang in 2007, we couldn't believe how fast the past 3 months went by and how much he had learned in just three short months. But now that we celebrated with Luke for ALL of 2007, the time seems to have gone by much faster. He has gone from being a little tiny guy at around 12 lbs in January, to a rolling over, sitting up, laughing, crawling, walking, running, marching, and very talkative, sweet, 20lb boy in December. We thank God for all the many blessings he has given us in 2007 and pray that we don't ever take them for granted. We pray special blessings on your family in 2008!! May 2008 bring even more special memories to all of us. :)

Now, fortunately, thanks to my wonderful husband, I am now able to upload more pictures!! We ended up having to get an external hard drive so that all our many many many (and I mean MANY!) pictures can go on there instead of on our PC.
Here are some Christmas pictures! YAY!
Luke on Christmas Day at Grandma and Grandpa Mayo's house. His new sled....(have you EVER seen a sled this small anywhere??)
Sitting by Grandpa and Great-Mamaw "writing" on his magnadoodle.
Playing with Uncle Dustin
I love my Aunt Kayla
Christmas Morning, Santa really did come!
His new vaccuum from Santa. This is the funniest thing I have ever seen him do...and bonus...it really sweeps things up! Thanks Santa!
Snuggling with daddy watching Veggie Tales.

Christmas with Grammy and Grandpa Jeff on Dec. 23
Hanging out with Olivia in his cool new chair and watching more Veggie Tales.
Opening his Veggie Tales from Grammy and Grandpa Jeff, you can't tell from this picture because I just wasn't quick enough, but he seriously kissed and hugged the DVD case. It was hilarious.
Alright! a 4-wheeler!
He loves this chair. Thanks Great-Grandma!

We were so blessed this Christmas with so many neat and cool gifts, but we don't want those to ever take away from the real meaning behind Christmas. Jesus. As much as we want Luke to understand this, he still really loves the gifts. :) We got out the Fisher Price Little People Nativity Set he got last year from my Aunt Denise, and tried to explain it to him. But he was more interested in making the star light up and play the song. He still is only 1. :) and hopefully we are able to teach him that without Jesus, there would be no real reason to celebrate Christmas. We want him to know that it's not about the gifts others give us or ones that we even give other people, but the true GIFT from God. His son, our Savior.
